What I will miss

Message from the Seller:

As a former ballet dancer, it seemed right that a building called “Backstage” would be my first home—and my condo has indeed been a wonderful home for 4 years.

I was drawn to the historic Old Town neighborhood for its immediate proximity to everything one could need for work and pleasure: transit, groceries, pharmacies, the PATH, great restaurants, performing arts venues, and the waterfront. The community feel has been lovely as well; I’ve gotten to know many families and dogs while soaking up the sunshine in Berczy Park! Plus, the ability to walk home in 5 minutes after a concert or a game at the Scotiabank Arena has allowed me to live life to the fullest, every day of the week.

Since the building was brand new in 2017, the design and amenities are top-notch throughout. I’ve spent many hours picnicking on the stunning terrace, swimming in the Olympic-sized pool, and utilizing the fully-stocked gym. My family and friends have enjoyed the convenience of guest suites in the building, and I have always appreciated feeling very safe thanks to the 24-hour concierge staff and tightly-controlled fob access throughout the building.

The unit itself has been the perfect space to live and work. The terrific appliances have made the kitchen a great place to cook (with fresh ingredients from the St. Lawrence Market, of course!), and the roomy den has become a perfect home office. The view from the living room never disappoints, with sights of the lake and the ever-evolving Toronto skyline. Lastly, my investment in custom soundproof windows in the bedroom has guaranteed a quiet environment for sleep, so I’ve enjoyed all the perks of being in the heart of it all while having a peaceful environment to return to at nighttime.

My next home will have a lot to live up to, because this condo has been an incredible place for me to call home during my time living in Toronto. I hope the unit, building, and neighborhood bring you as much joy as they have for me!
